What is a school lunch farm?
Many families in Thailand are very poor and are unable to feed their children. In 2004 a Tsunami (a great tidal wave) hit parts of Thailand making life even more difficult for these families. Children would not go to school as they were too hungry and could not concentrate.
The idea of a school lunch farm is that schools grow their own vegetables, keep chickens and farm fish in tanks. The children and teachers take care of the farms. Each child can go to school and receive one healthy meal a day. The children that attend schools with lunch farms become healthier, stronger and are able to concentrate at school.
